Ralph received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Colorado State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Lewis and Clark College.

His professional experience includes Vice President, Nor’wood Development Group from 2000 to 2018 and Project Executive for Wolf Ranch, a 1,982-acre residential master planned community; private law practice from 1975 through 2000, with an emphasis on land use planning and law.  His firm represented a majority of the real estate developers and builders in Colorado Springs.

Ralph’s current professional associations include the Pikes Peak Range Riders and the East Colorado Springs Rotary. His extensive past associations include President,  Housing and Building Association (HBA); Board of Directors, Colorado Springs HBA; Chairman, HBA Political Action Committee and Public Policy Council; Board of Directors Colorado Association of Home Builders     and Political Funding Committee member then Chairman; Board of Directors of the Colorado Springs Economic Development Corporation, the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo, the Red Cross, and Silver Key Senior Services; and Vice Chair, Community Development Council, Gold and Silver Flights, Urban Land Institute.               

His awards and recognition include Associate Member of the Year, Colorado Springs HBA (1991); Associate Member of the Year, Colorado Association of Home Builders (1997); Industry Person of the Year, Colorado Springs HBA (2002); Founders Award, Colorado Springs HBA (2019); and induction into Academy School District 20 Hall of Excellence (2019).

Ralph and his wife Kathi, an interior designer, have one son, Nathan.
